So? What’s so special about October 9 in 2022 and why should you save the date? Speaking in the terms of astrology, it’s the Hunter’s Moon / Blood Moon on October 9th & 10th 2022, where the sun in Libra stands opposite the Moon in Aries, which promises effective resolutions in the face of ongoing confrontation and emotional challenges.


This full Moon is also significant as it facilitates the culmination, release, and resolution of a distressing situation. The Libra vibe is always to serve peace and justice, but it comes with a lot of deliberation. The full Moon in decisive Aries holds the promise to get us there faster than we think.

RELEASE

A full Moon is not a time to manifest. Instead, it’s the time to release emotions that make you uncomfortable and anxious — light a candle on your desk. Write on paper all that you want to let go of. Read the list twice to let the words soak in, fold the paper, and burn it on the candle flame. You can bury the ashes in the soil or let them go down the drain.

DECLUTTER

This Hunter’s Moon / Blood Moon, make it a point to declutter your space – whether that’s your kitchen selfs, skincare shelf, or work desk. If doing a deep clean overwhelms you, remove nine things that no longer serve you to symbolically make space for what you desire to flow into your life. “This full Moon, get rid of all the things that are now redundant. Once you tidy up your space, keep a bowl of salt in the corners of your home to absorb negative emotions

SPIRITUAL SALT BATHS

At night on this full Moon, indulge in a salt water bath. Take a fist full of rock salt and dissolve it in a bucket of water. Alternatively, you can whip up some salt scrub at home by mixing salt with coconut or jojoba oil and gently scrub your body in light circular motions.

CONNECT WITH YOUR ROOT CHAKRA

During Hunter’s Moon/ Blood Moon, you will also feel a heightened sense of anxiety and resentment about things that aren’t going well, despite your best efforts. To calm the mind: Work the body. Go for a long walk, preferably barefoot, on the beach or the grass. The focus shouldn’t be on the pace of the walk or burning calories; instead, slow down and watch your breath. Consciously try to register the texture of the ground (water, grass, or sand) under your feet. Connecting with nature is one of the fastest and most effective ways to address internal insecurities.

Even if things didn't work out as vou had anticipated, celebrate your wins, big or small. You could work with the full Moon to revaluate and adjust (if necessary) the intentions you set during the new Moon. This is an abundant time and you can use the Moon phase to attract more of the good stuff!
